Today, NRK, the broadcast channel behind the international breakout series Skam released the trailer for its highly anticipated fourth season. Just as fans were hoping, this season is all about Sana, played by actress Iman Meskini. (If you're unfamiliar with the show click here.)

Like season 3, the trailer is a slow-motion masterpiece, except this time it’s not a homoerotic locker room seen. Instead, we see a cool and collected Sana causing calamity—and looking devilish while doing it.

Fans were eager to have Sana be the focus of Season 4 to continue Skam’s exceptional progressiveness. Past seasons have tackled mental illness, sexual assault, and sexual identity. Many are hoping that Sana as the lead will mean religion takes the spotlight. Sana is Muslim and stands in stark contrast to her classmates as she doesn’t drink or do drugs.

With good news comes bad news, though. Showrunner Julie Andem has announced that this is the final season of the show. In a statement, she says, “We recently decided that we won’t be making a new season this fall. I know many of you out there will be upset and disappointed to hear this, but I’m confident this is the right decision."

Skam returns to Norwegian television this Monday, April 10. We'll patiently await the trickle of English subtitles.
