This Beauty Brand Is Raising Money For Charity With No-Makeup Selfies

Skincare company Rodan + Fields is encouraging its customers to post makeup-free selfies for their charity foundation. For every selfie posted today with the tag #RFGoNaked, the brand will donate $1 to the Prescription for Change® (PFC) Foundation, which works to provide programs of empowerment for impoverished teens. Rodan + Fields specializes in dermatology-inspired skincare and promotes their ambitions to make positive changes in people’s skin — and their lives. The brand wants to see improvement in their customer’s skin, so it uses these no-makeup selfies as the platform for their efforts to improvement the communities of thousands of American teens.

Rodan + Fields has been doing #RFGoNaked Day since 2008, donating a total of $3.1 million and establishing five new youth program locations. The company partnered with buildOn, a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy in the United States, to serve over 5,000 students in America’s most under-resourced high schools.

So far, this partnership as provided over 500,000 youth program days, including community service events and educational experiences for the students. “The PFC Foundation’s impact is amazing. These young adults are going to college and returning to their own communities to give back,” said Tanya M., PFC project specialist.
