Synth soul child Shura has released the music video to her track “What’s It Gonna Be?,” off her forthcoming album Nothing’s Real.

Here, the singer plays on a familiar narrative—to any The Breakfast Club fan—complete with high school archetypes like The Jock, The Cool Girl, and The Nerd, but with a surprising (and contemporary) twist. The plot that plays out in those short three minutes is one of a standard love story: You know, The Nerd lusts after The Cool Girl, Shura after The Jock, and they all end up together in the end—except not exactly! Shura takes home the girl, and The Nerd (played by her twin brother Nick) takes home The Jock. Gasp! Conservatives everywhere must be fuming, as they dance around their glass house to what is surely a song of the summer.

Jokes aside, it’s a simple queer tale long past due in its telling. It’s also, according to the artist, based on a true story. Similarly long awaited: Nothing’s Real, an album that fans have been waiting for so long it has it’s own website:

The answer to that question is yes, and it is magnificent.
