Up-and-coming group Terror Jr is shrouded with a little mystery and a ton of intrigue, due in part to the female lead’s unknown identity, and their snappy, sassy, and sugary brand of genre-bending electro-pop (and also to Kylie Jenner). Their newest single, “Caramel,” only adds to their fascinating aura.

The track serves as an intro to Bop City 2, the upcoming sequel to their first EP, and it plays like an introduction that leaves you with a cliffhanger. It’s slinky and menacing, almost like the score to a plastic horror movie, but it doesn’t reach a horrifying peak that leaves you screaming in fear. Rather, it slithers on to a sudden wind-down conclusion, leaving us wanting more. Before you know it, the song sticks, much like caramel
