Tinashe Releases New 'Joyride' Song “Company”

Today, Tinashe releases “Company,” the next track off of her forthcoming album Joyride, and it shows her back in more familiar territory than her last single, the bubbly “Superlove.”

Tinashe sounds right at home on the new cut, her vocals cut smoothly along the fierce and grinding production as she sings about her need for some company. But unlike Justin Bieber and his song of the same title, she just wants a little pick-me-up: “You’re just my little side thing, just a little sweet fling / You don’t have to pry things / I just want the high, supply me,” she croons. The zapping synths and Nokia phone beeps oddly compliment the song very well, making it one of her most unique offerings to date.

Joyride will feature production from The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Metro Boomin, Joel Compass, and Boi-1da, among others. The album is set to be released in October, according to Miss T herself, although who knows what could have changed by now.
