UGG Gets Conceptual With Eckhaus Latta

The two cult brands meet in a groovy pastoral for their new campaign.

Say it with us: UGG and Eckhaus Latta collaborated on a thing, and soon, you’ll be able to buy that thing. But what is the thing, you ask? Trying to imagine the splicing of such seemingly opposing cult brands—one known for its rugged maximalism, the other for its deconstructed, small-batch fashions—may cause dizziness. But if you followed Eckhaus Latta’s AW19 presentation, you already know what lies within the center of the UGG/Eckhaus Venn diagram: an 18-piece range that’s as conceptual as it is durable, now on view in the collection’s just-launched campaign.

Suited for the forward-thinking outdoorsperson, the UGG + Eckhaus Latta collection includes tailored, plush outerwear as well as comfortable footwear—adapting Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta’s DIY style for braving the elements. The campaign, shot by Zoe Ghertner at California’s Mono Lake, plants the collection in its natural habitat. Seen below, the furry stilettos and updated moon boots look right at home against a spacey pastoral.

The UGG + Eckhaus Latta collection launches on September 3.
