English singer, businesswoman, model, style icon, fashion designer, and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was awarded with an Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Prince William for her services in the fashion industry. Although she was already noble in our own minds, Mrs. Beckham is now officially Dame Beckham (or Dame Posh if you please).

As with tradition, the ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace in London, and Beckham was joined by her husband—retired soccer star and OBE recipient himself—David Beckham, as well as her parents. The power couple's four children, however, were not in attendance. Former heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill and actor Mark Rylance were given OBEs as well.

The 43-year-old icon was awarded not only for her contributions to fashion, but her charity work as well. Back in 2014, Beckham was announced as the new UN goodwill ambassador for an AIDS charity, and has been actively working to raise AIDS awareness since then. The Dame also is a supporter of animal treatment group PETA, as well as Save the Children. Essentially, Beckham's OBE has been a long time in the making.

"It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today," Beckham said in a statement. "I'm proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge." She followed it up by also saying, "If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things."
