A radical new era is quickly approaching, as the industry is beginning to place less emphasis on fur and is instead embracing eco-friendly and cruelty-free fashion. For some time, the use of fur has remained as a hot topic among designers and editors who have seemingly perpetrated the use of this luxury label mainstay. Now with the release of the latest Vogue Paris issue, the industry is looking to combat this issue with an entire issue devoted to animals and the best of fake fur fashion.

The issue—which is the first of its kind to be entirely dedicated to cruelty-free fashion—is a crucial narrative to remember as we continue to progress in fashion. The cover itself makes a strong statement as supermodel, Gisele Bündchen, lovingly holds a baby kangaroo while being fully clad in an array of faux-fur. Styled by Editor-In-Chief, Emmanuelle Alt, and shot by photographers, Inez & Vinoodh the August 2017 cover takes bold strides that offer a more inclusive approach to showcasing fur-free and sustainable fashion.
