Watch Pussy Riot'S New Protest Video

Last December, Russian General Prosecutor Yuri Chaika was accused of widespread corruption, and having family ties to the mafia—an accusation that came in the form of a documentary by opposing anti-corruption investigator Alexei Navalny.

Today, activist group Pussy Riot has taken up where Navalny left off with a new music video for their song “Chaika” (produced by TV on the Radio’ s Dave Sitek) in which the girls play dress up as corrupt Russian officials, parodying the country’ s current judicial system. Per usual, the members of Pussy Riot pull no punches, setting their haunting dance routines against backdrops of torture, prisoners, and Putin. Check out the video above, along with an official statement on the video from the group below:

“Pussy Riot demands an immediate investigation against General Prosecutor Chaika and his family, as well as against all the top officials in his office. We hope that the CHAIKA music video will help to convince people that we cannot live in a country where its top law enforcement official is the brightest symbol of corruption and murder. Pussy Riot hopes that people around the world will help us voice our outrage and turn Russia into a country where people like Chaika can no longer exist.”
