An outpour of love and support for the LGBT community following the largest mass murder in American history

The world was struck with horror when a gunman claiming allegiance to ISIS killed 49 and wounded 53 people at Pulse, a popular gay nightclub in Orlando, FL early on Sunday, in what would become the worst mass shooting in American history. Deemed an "act of hate" and an "act of terror" by President Obama, members of the LGBT community and its allies around the world have taken to Twitter, Instagram, and other forms of social media to offer their support to one another and express their outrage. While the world mourns, here is a sampling of some of the words of sadness, and strength, that have pervaded the Internet in the wake of a tragedy that is becoming all too familiar in 2016.
