The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences present the master film director’s first retrospective in the context of an art museum. The show consists of archival material, annotated scripts, photography, costumes, cameras, and more. If you visit by March 10th, you’ll get to see the expressionist films Dr. Caligari and Metropolis (no doubt influences for classics like The Shining and 2001: A Space Odyssey) on view there as well.
