Artist Derrick Cruz knows about "Isolation." On his Kickstarter page, he describes discovering Joy Division and other life changing music at a mall record store during a stop on small-town Puerto Rico field trips. He also describes why he is making a bust of Ian Curtis, part of a series of monumental lead singers. The first installment was a stoney-faced Morrissey. This time around, he's working for the people, funded by the people, his muse that piercing gaze. Spastic dance moves not included.
