Ugg Unveils New Collaboration with Heron Preston
The two brands connect over their California roots.
After making a buzzy debut on the Heron Preston Fall/Winter 2019 runway during Paris Fashion Week, the shoe everyone has been talking about is finally here—or at least will be at the end of this month: Preston’s collaboration with Ugg. For a brand that was originally marketed towards surfer, it’s kind of full circle for Southern California-based brand UGG to collaborate with another California-based design entity: Heron Preston.
The collaboration draws inspiration from UGG’s rebellious reputation, embodied by 21st century lost boys. Shot by Alexandre Hertoghe in Fall Hills, New Jersey, the campaign illustrates the before, during and after of “a celebration of freedom and friendship.” The models also don pieces from Preston’s ready-to-wear collection along with the UGG collaboration.
For the collaboration, two of UGG’s classic styles—Classic Mini and Tasman—were updated with Preston’s distinctive aesthetic, including his signature fluorescent yellow pull-tabs and orange colorway. The collaboration will be available exclusively online at UGG, Heron Preston or in select UGG stores on October 7.
