Adele To Host SNL
Adele announced on Instagram that she plans to host the show later this month.
Adele will host Saturday Night Live October 24th along with musical guest H.E.R, the singer announced on Instagram.
The commitment to host SNL in its 46th season makes Adele one of many star’s to take part in the show during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adele said she had wanted to host SNL in the past, but had never found the right time to do it.
“I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right,” Adele posted on Instagram. “But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right?”
This is not the first time Adele has set foot on the SNL stage during an election year. Back in 2008, Adele was the musical guest alongside host Josh Brolin. As Adele hosts for the first time this Saturday, it will be SNL’s second to last show before this year’s presidential election.
With Adele’s last studio album, 25, debuting in 2015, some of the singer’s fans are speculating on a new album release or announcement coming this weekend.
