5 of the Most Stylish Celebrity Homes Listed by Cole Morgan

All hail celebrity home aficionados!

Building a dream home is an aspiration that millions can identify with. While some prefer minimalistic designs or pastel shades, Hollywood celebrities are notorious for living life king size. Branding expert Cole Morgan is deeply passionate about Hollywood cinema and an aficionado when it comes to stunning celebrity homes. He shares his take on five of the most stylish celebrity homes across the globe.

Winona Ryder’s Beverly Hills Charmer

Everything about Winona Ryder is iconic, and her humble abode is no exception. According to Morgan, Ryder’s Beverly Hills home was outfitted by her friend Kevin Haley. Haley is an actor who moonlights as a designer and is credited with being the artist behind both of Ryder’s residences. Ryder’s Beverly Hills home was built in the 1920s, but renovations had rendered it virtually charmless over the last century. According to Morgan, Ryder even found it to be creepy! But Haley was able to restore the home’s Mediterranean charm while using modern finishes for contrast. Haley built the entire design for this home around one precious artifact, a nineteenth-century amethyst chandelier!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Los Feliz Pad

The Modern Family actor shares a deluxe four-bedroom home in Los Feliz with his husband, Justin Mikita. Morgan says that designer Peter Gurski helped the couple redesign the 1928 Spanish Colonial. He was able to accentuate its Gothic charm while also bringing out the couples’ sense of humor. The home features chandeliers and painted ceilings and tiles. But the piece de resistance is a giant metal-wrought horse!

Shonda Rhimes’ Los Angeles Home

If you’re looking for design inspiration, Morgan says you should look no further than television pioneer Shonda Rhimes. Rhimes worked with architect Bill Baldwin and designer Michael Smith to transform her home into a Los Angeles stunner. The home is stylish while also feeling decidedly comfortable and livable. According to Morgan, the kitchen floor tiles by Native Tile & Ceramics are the real show-stopper.

Anne Hathaway’s Southern California Getaway

Anne Hathaway shares a home with her husband Adam Shulman in the California Hills. The house is built and decorated to be reminiscent of a Swiss chalet. So while the home feels roomy and expansive, there’s also a distinct coziness to every room in the house. According to Morgan, the home has a history of celebrity owners. Yves Saint Laurent and Wes Anderson have both left their intangible marks on the gorgeous, Alpine-home.

Sheryl Crow’s Country House

Though actually just outside of Nashville, Sheryl Crow’s estate is bucolic. With open rooms and finished wood floors, Crow selected this home in an attempt to have her two sons be closer to their school. According to Morgan, the decor choices within the home are distinctly Sheryl Crow. She loves to go antiquing, and every room in the house features her unique and artistic finds.
