LES HOMMES F/W 2021 Introduces First Women’s Collection

The latest from Les Hommes is a seamless marriage of masculine structures with feminine details.

Les Hommes redefines borrowing from the boys with its androgynous Fall/Winter 2021 collections, Les Hommes Femme. Belgian designers Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch previously specialized in menswear, but their latest debut shows versatility with gender-bending pieces. Starring Dutch top model Roos Abels and David Trulik, the campaign blurs the lines between men and womenswear.

In the promotional Instagram video, the models brood in black and white film over a futuristic track, their angular features reflecting off mirrored LH structures. Dark, dramatic makeup on Abels and earrings on both models reinforces the theme of androgyny.

Featuring exclusively black pieces, the collection places an emphasis on sharp tailoring. A variety of textures — sequins, leather, paillettes, and velvet — keep the monochromatic collection from appearing one-note. Abels dons a shimmering, sheer high-neck blouse, adding dimension under a deep v-cut skirted coat. Bold, clean lines and structured silhouettes lend an edge to the collection’s party dresses, and a fitted waist on a men’s coat adds a distinctive feminine touch. At once avant-garde and wearable, Les Hommes’ latest collection gets menswear in touch with its feminine side.
