Spring is upon us (took long enough)! And with it, the arrival of several new things, like new wardrobes (break out the light jackets), new recipes (refreshing cocktails for the win), and, of course, new Netflix material.

Several new releases are making their way to the streaming service this April. One of the most anticipated releases of the line-up is “Shadow and Bone,” the Netflix adaptation of the first book from the Grishaverse, part of Leigh Bardugo’s popular book series. But that won’t be out till near the end of the month, along with “Yasuke,” an anime series telling the story of the titular African samurai who served in Japan in the late 16th century. The series is being created by LeSean Thomas (of “The Boondocks” and “The Legend of Korra” fame) and will star Lakeith Stanfield. Other new releases include Idris Elba’s Concrete Cowboy, Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer’s Thunder Force, and Jamie Foxx’s “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!”

A variety of older films and shows are also being added to the catalog, including 2000s classics like Legally Blonde, Yes Man, and The Pianist. Also arriving are all four seasons of Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,” which stars “The Umbrella Academy’s” Aidan Gallagher. The oldest entry on the list is from Audrey Hepburn, with her 1964 musical hit My Fair Lady dropping in on April 1.
