L’AGENCE Returns to NYFW with Moody Fall 2022 Collection

California-based brand L’AGENCE goes edgy in their new collection, presented during New York Fashion Week.

California-based brand L’AGENCE returned to the New York Fashion Week cycle with a star-studded event at the Bowery Terrace in the Bowery Hotel on Feb. 10. The celebration doubled as a presentation of L’AGENCE’s Fall/Winter 2022 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted at the event.

The presentation was styled by Britton Littow, and directed by Art Director Lilly Bircher. Guests included models Sara Sampaio, Nina Agdal, and Josephine Skriver, as well as personalities such as Nicky Hilton and Ramona Singer.

The Fall/Winter 2022 collection stays true to L’AGENCE’s roots of California style infused with Parisian touches, but this time adds a layer of moodiness, designed to “evoke elements of modern romance.” The slightly edgier looks are in line with the natural maturation L’AGENCE has seen as a brand since it’s founding in 2008.

Most of the collection, designed by Creative Director Jeff Rudes, uses Fall-appropriate materials such as velvet, leather, and lurex. Key colors of maroon, black and navy span the entire collection, which also plays with metallic leather and sequins, as well as other moody jewel tones. The effect: a collection that is both feminine and opulent. Standout pieces include a vintage-tailored velvet suit, and a blazer with embellished shoulders.

Clearly, the new look at L’AGENCE is edgy sophistication.
