Sandy Liang has entered the bridal world and has debuted a capsule collection consisting of four dresses and three veils. The NYC-based designer announced a forthcoming bridal capsule with the announcement of her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Dorian.

The capsule nods to Liang’s playful tendencies but is all rooted in beautiful hand construction. She sensed a need for bridal options to add to the label, but if she were going to enter this world, she would do it in true Sandy Liang fashion. That means ditching the expected traditional silhouettes and frills and embracing the label’s asymmetrical shapes and silhouettes. 

The capsule embraces the spirit of the unconventional modern New York bride who just wants to feel like a princess for a day. The four dresses are each aptly named after four princesses—Diana, Mononoke, Kaguya, and Peach.

The Diana dress is a floating merengue of silk taffeta with voluminous sleeves and exaggerated bow streams down the back.

The Mononoke dress encapsulates the New York princess, with a babydoll fit, delicate puffed sleeves, and a pair of long bows down the back.

The Kaguya dress is a frothy tulle dream featuring a prominent bow at the back waist with flowing tries trailing behind.

The Peach dress pays homage to classic historical dress details reimagined for the modern bride. A pair of bows stream down the back, framing a long pleated train and accentuated waist.
