Destination: Emporio Armani

Take a trip down the runway with Armani’s new Ready to Wear Collection.

Adventure, luxury and travel it’s what’s on the menu post-pandemic. Armani settled our craving for something other worldly and decadent in their 2023 Spring/Summer collection. This season Emporio Armani used travel as a source of inspiration for their womenswear collection show in Milan. The ready-to-wear line is named ‘In Transit’ as Armani explores both physical and spiritual movement.  Light and ethereal, Emporio Armani sent flowing silky shirts worn as outerwear and a laid-back combination of pastel blazers paired with sarongs.

The brand refers to the soft color pallet as ‘urban neutral’ showing pale mauve, seafoam and sage greens alongside black and white. Flats and sandals surprised us, no heels were shown emphasizing Armani’s desire to prioritize comfort and free movement. The clothing is loose fitting while extenuating the lines of women by focussing on a vertical silhouette to elongate the body. With Armani the desire is in the details, crystal beaded fringe decorates the tops adding movement and a glimmer of sparkle.

Chunky beaded necklaces topped off more casual looks, while a light crystal embroidered gown took the collection from day to night effortlessly. Semi-sheer loose-fitting trousers made from silky fabrics created a wet, liquid movement effect while in motion. The looks were finished off with invisible makeup and just a touch of shimmer around the eyes.
