As many of us know, Kim Kardashian and the new-wave Dolce & Gabbana go hand in hand. For this season’s womenswear Spring Summer 2023 Campaign, Kim steps behind the lens for legendary photography duo Mert & Marcus to animate a series of signature shots. Highlighting her sensuality and elegance – much like her September 2022 curation with the house – the photographs are amplified by a dense black-and-white effect that brings the viewer into an intimate dimension. As the photographers trail the societal superstar through the rooms of an Italian villa: the spaces, imbued with the history of its objects and those who have lived there, serve as the perfect backdrop for the new muse and the collection.

With a nod to Dolce & Gabbana’s 1990-2000s archives, the clothes and accessories come from a singular reinterpretation of some of the same legendary garments that have so often inspired Kim throughout her life and career. Sexy yet classy, looks are reminiscent of the house’s most applauded craftsmanship styles, signature designs, and renowned leopard print palette. Shot after shot, the new campaign is a journey through Dolce & Gabbana’s most authentic DNA, in which new meanings meet the unmistakable characters that have made the brand’s history: a universal language that gives voice to everyone’s desires and aspirations.
