Bandsintown Rolls Out A Livestream Concert Subscription Service
Watch over 25 live streamed performances a month for $9.99 USD a month
Music website Bandsintown introduced a Netflix – style subscription service earlier this week titled Bandsintown PLUS. The service allows users to stream over 25 live concerts followed by a live Q&A chat with your favorite band. It goes for $9.99 USD a month.
As part of the service’s debut, Bandsintown will host Little Dragon, Phoebe Bridgers, Chromeo, Empress Of, Fleet Foxes, a Toro y Moi DJ set, and more artists that are to be announced. The lineup is scheduled to take place over January and February.
The subscription service also announced that they will be offering new users a free trial. New shows will be dropped every week in HD image and HI-FI sound. They will be streamable on a TV, computer, or mobile device.
According to a press release, the new subscription service “democratizes and revolutionizes the live music experience, directly supporting artists in the process.”
Bandsintown PLUS follows Internet music company Bandcamp’s ticketed livestream service, Bandcamp Live, in which bands can use the platform to host their own live performance followed by a Q&A.
