David Beckham Set To Produce Adidas vs. Puma Sneaker Feud Documentary Series
The soccer star is set to produce the mini docuseries, World War Shoe
British soccer star, David Beckham, has officially announced that he is set to produce a documentary mini-series about the 40-year-old feud between Adidas and Puma.
The international star and former Manchester United player’s production company, Studio 99, is working with Boat Rocker Studios, Matador Content, and Unscripted to create the project titled World War Shoe.
The three-part series is about the several decades-long feud between brothers Adi and Rudi Dassler and how they developed the competing brand in their small hometown in Herzogenaurach, Germany. In 1948, Rudi founded Puma, then in 1949, his brother Adi founded Adidas. The project will follow the bitter rivals along with legal battles, athletes, and never-before-told secrets about the feud that played out globally. The series will also follow the major influence the two brands have had on fashion and pop culture.
This project comes along as Matador Content has also produced the upcoming Apple TV+’s documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry and TBS’s Go-Big Show. But there is no official release date for World War Shoe
