Coachella Is Allegedly Rescheduled for 2022

One of the biggest music festivals in the U.S. has been postponed again

Variety reports that The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been rescheduled from October 2021 to April 2022. This postponement could be the fourth time the festival dates have been moved, the first time was when the April 2020 dates were rescheduled for October 2020, which then moved to April 2021, and now it’s supposedly set for October 2021.

The iconic weekend of events takes place in Coachella Valley of the Colorado Desert and usually draws a crowd with about 125,000 tickets sold for each day. Reportedly due to continued COVID-19 restrictions in California an event this size would not be possible this soon in the year due to the risk of super-spreaders. Other festivals in the U.S. might take place though since many states don’t have as strict COVID protocols than California, making Florida and Texas options for earlier festivals.

While other festivals are taking place and artists are scheduling to go on tour soon, country-music-themed Stagecoach festival that takes place the weekend after Coachella’s two weekends, will most likely be postponed as well.

The new dates for when Coachella is believed to be moved has not been confirmed yet.
