Kanye West’s Manager Teases Upcoming Album ‘WestDayEver’
Abou “Bu” Thiam wrote that new work is “OTW.”
Kanye West’s 44th birthday on June 8 came with some major reveals. The celebrations began with the first drop of the highly-anticipated YEEZY Gap collab, a light blue puffer piece named the “ROUND JACKET”. Then, West’s manager, Abou “Bu” Thiam, announced there’s a new album by the rapper in the works.
Thiam hinted at the upcoming record with a comment under Gap’s video of the blue nylon jacket on Instagram, which simply reads: “WestDayEver. Album OTW!”
The album has reportedly been in the works for a while as a follow-up to West’s 2019 record Jesus Is King, which won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album earlier this year. Last summer, the rapper announced Donda would come out in July 2020, but that album has yet to be released.
Also in July, TMZ reported that West had filed papers to trademark the phrase “West Day Ever,” which he had been constantly using as a hashtag on his Twitter account around that time – including when he announced the Gap collab.

The rapper has used “#WESTDAYEVER” on various occasions, such as when he celebrated a surge in Gap’s stock price and announced a series of upcoming projects, including a yet-to-drop “Dr. Dre version” of Jesus Is King.
While an official release date and additional information surrounding WestDayEver have not been revealed yet, fans can look forward to YEEZY Gap’s “Floating Projections” of the ROUND JACKET in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
