GUESS Originals has been teaming up with celebrities and influencers to create and promote clothes. Last Tuesday, October 5, they teamed up with Don Toliver to celebrate the release of his latest album, Life of Don. This New York Pop-Up Event featured appearances from Don Toliver, of course, as well as other notables like Kali Uchis.

Don Toliver, who’s legal name is Caleb Zackery Toliver, grew up in Houston Texas. He started released singles in 2017, with his first full album being released in 2018. Don specializes in Hip Hop, Trap, and R&B. He thinks of his music as otherworldly and something from its own solar system.

Tuesday’s event comes as part of a collaboration between Don Toliver and GUESS Originals. The clothing brand created a new “Guess Who?” graphic specifically for Don Toliver, and the new graphic is featured on the long sleeve tees. Don himself wore a Guess sweatshirt that said “Life of Don” to help promote the brand and his new album.

Nicolai Marciano, GUESS’s Director of Brand Partnership, deemed Toliver a natural fit, stating the pair “aligns with what Don Toliver is doing and this was the right time to partner on creating merch and supporting his new album, Life of a Don.” GUESS Originals also has a partnership with Cactus Jack who has collaborated with Don Toliver before.

The GUESS Originals x Don Toliver event was open almost exclusively to New York city based influencers and the press. The night featured an open bar and music by DJ Odalys. And, of course, there was new merchandise.
