This season, the resort collections have been taking a cruise around the world, and Maria Grazia Chiuri was certainly in the mood for a little Latin flair this time around. Setting Dior’s latest show for its Cruise 2024 collection in Mexico City, the country’s boldest and brightest stars showed up in high spirits as Chiuri’s latest lineup celebrated the works of Mexico-based artists Leonora Carrington, Tina Modotti, and of course, Frida Kahlo.

There to take in all the magic was actress Aislinn Derbez, sitting front row to witness the magic of Mexico come to life on Dior pieces.

“It was an honor to be invited to this historic and unforgettable night. Something I love about Maria Grazia Chiuri is that her collections often pay homage to historical and revolutionary female figures, on this occasion, she drew inspiration from Frida Kahlo and Mexican culture,” said Derbez to V. “It was an incredibly emotional and marvelous night. It was a pride to see how, through this collection, Dior paid a powerful tribute to Mexico, giving global visibility to Mexican artisanal embroideries and the need for justice for women who have been victims of violence in our country.
