The end of May boasts some of music’s hottest new releases, from pop to disco to indie to rap and everything in between. Taylor Swift released yet another round of tracks on her latest project “Midnights” in collaboration with Ice Spice while Dua Lipa gave audiences a glimpse into Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” world with her latest single “Dance The Night.” Arlo Parks’ latest record is set to be an indie-pop hit, and rising rap star Monaleo’s soul-bearing debut project is one for the books. As summer creeps closer, music fans have a lot to celebrate, and these artists are just getting started.

The internet is absolutely brimming with excitement about Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” – and if its release date in July seems like an eternity away, playing Dua Lipa’s “Dance The Night” on repeat will tide you over until then. The addicting track – like the rest of Lipa’s discography – can only be described as disco-pop perfection. The rest of the soundtrack – packed with huge names like Charli XCX, HAIM, Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj, and Lizzo – is set to release along with the film on July 21.

Taylor Swift, “Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition)”

If you thought Taylor Swift was done releasing versions of her 10th studio album “Midnights,” think again. The global superstar announced Thursday that she’d be releasing a special “Til Dawn Edition” complete with three new tracks – the fan-favorite “Hits Different” (previously unavailable to stream), a long-awaited version of “Snow on the Beach” featuring more Lana Del Rey, and a remix of “Karma” featuring Ice Spice. And Swifties heading to The Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium this weekend are in for an extra treat – a new special edition CD of “Midnights” will be available featuring a vault track called “You’re Losing Me.”

Arlo Parks, “My Soft Machine”

Arlo Parks’ latest project cements her status as a force to be reckoned with in the indie-pop sphere. Her second studio album “My Soft Machine” is full of instant hits including the gorgeous track “Pegasus” featuring harmonies from the one and only Phoebe Bridgers. Combining her impeccable lyricism and soft vocals with out-of-the-box production, Parks is at the top of her game – and she’s only getting better.

Monaleo, “Where the Flowers Don’t Die”

Up-and-coming singer and rapper Monaleo’s debut project “Where the Flowers Don’t Die” is both strikingly vulnerable and multifaceted. The Houston native shows audiences countless layers of her artistry, from the upbeat, energetic collaboration with Flo Milli “Goddess” to the stripped-back, acoustic ballad “Miss Understood.” The fully independent artist is writing her own narrative – and the dynamic world Monaleo creates on her record cannot be replicated.

Diddy, “Act Bad”

The iconic Diddy is back with his latest single “Act Bad” complete with features from City Girls and his longtime collaborator Fabolous. Co-produced by Diddy and released under his label Bad Boy Records, the rapper dubbed the track “the song of the summer” on Instagram. The upbeat song feels like a quintessential Diddy track while simultaneously showcasing the best of the featured artists.

d4vd, “Petals To Thorns”

Following last week’s release of his single “Don’t Forget About Me,” rising star d4vd has officially unveiled his debut EP. Complete with nine wide-ranging tracks, “Petals To Thorns” showcases the genre-defying artist’s versatility and one-of-a-kind sound. His debut project is sure to grab the attention of everyone from brand-new audiences to fans who have been following his journey as an artist.

Anna Shoemaker, “666”

Indie-pop princess Anna Shoemaker has been dubbed “Brooklyn’s own Olivia Rodrigo,” and with good reason — her synth-pop sound with incredible vocals to match combines to create a cathartic outlet for heartbreak and other messy emotions. On her latest single “666,” the artist urges listeners to find their inner peace through captivating and thought-provoking lyrics. The track will be featured on Shoemaker’s upcoming EP “Hey Anna” out June 23.

Saint Levant, “Nails”

The dynamic — and trilingual — Saint Levant’s latest single “Nails” fuses together a blend of French, Arabic, and English set to upbeat, electronic elements. The track, released last week accompanied by a music video featuring Mia Khalifa, details Saint Levant’s journey of rising above his childhood bullies and critics complete with a catchy chorus.
