Using Milan Fashion Week to showcase the house’s decades-old craftsmanship, Dolce & Gabbanna debuted “Stile,” a collection full of thick fabrics, embroidery, and Italian glamor.

“Stile,” meaning having a sense of style, reimagines some of the brand’s iconic pieces—from the tank-top, to the rosary, to the coppola—through a core focus on tailoring and construction. T-shirts are draped to resemble statues, while sculpted flowers soften the look of the garments they adorn.

Fabrics include overcoats made from double cashmere and silk crepe, single and double-breasted suits from Chantilly lace or double duchesse, and other pieces from embroidered silk organza and 3D-effect embossed jersey. Driving shoes, DG Logo leather bags, suede and leather moccasins, and sock shoes rounded out the accessories.

Aside from a scarce use of polka-dots, solid colors champion the collection. Milk white, sand beige, camel, Sicilian black, chocolate brown, and pearl as the main color palette reign in on the luxurious yet stripped-to-the-core collection.

The focus on quality materials parallel one of the core histories of Dolce & Gabbanna as a whole. The brand’s history with well-cut garments comes through with pieces chosen from the archives that display the label of the year they were first presented.

The show featured models emerging onto a wide, white catwalk. This neutral yet luxurious set, along with a look behind the scenes, added to the show’s quiet-luxury feel. Featured among the front-row attendees were Doyoung, Machine Gun Kelly, Canelo Alvarez, Blanco, and Michele Morrone.
