Featuring supermodels Anok Yai and Vittoria Ceretti, Michael Kors’ Fall / Winter campaign embodies New York City in all its glitz and glam. Renowned fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin truly bring all our “Autumn in the City” dreams to life giving us a darker, warm color scheme in each shot, contrasting with more wintery shots featuring a red and green dress in Washington Square Park at dusk.

Meant to capture the theme of “Urban Bohemia”, the Greenwich Village backdrop perfectly encapsulates the free-spirited essence that lives within the heart of the city. Using an autumnal color palette, looks range in monochromatic browns and grays featuring small pops of color in deep green and red. In a statement for the campaign, Kors touches on the inspiration for the collection.

“For this collection, I was really thinking about the things that influenced me when I was coming of age in the ‘70s—the women who influenced me, the neighborhood that influenced me, and the combination of big city glamour and bohemia that I found in Greenwich Village at that time,” says Michael Kors.

Wearability is the name of the game as looks include much of the trends we’ve seen rising in popularity including everything from chunky belts, fringe skirts, knee-high leather boots, monochrome sets, and oversized blazers. The new campaign even features a few older memories from Kors’ inspirations like carwash skirts from the 90’s and sequined jumpsuits from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
