On December 5, Ralph Lauren unveiled a first for the brand: an artist-in-residence program, which was created to highlight and preserve the history and artistry of individual creators. The artisans will all come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines to unite under one collective, where they will work together to create new ways to imagine and portray Ralph Lauren’s concept of the American Dream.

Spearheading the program, Naiomi Glasses, a seventh generation Diné (Navajo) textile artist, designer, and model will be the inaugural artist in residence for this collection. Throughout 2024, the Artist in Residence program will release the Polo Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses Collection, which includes three seasonal limited-edition drops, showcasing timeless Navajo traditions. The first collection consist of 32 men’s, women’s, and unisex pieces including a range of accessories that are emblazoned with a color palette rooted in Glasses’ homeland on Navajo Nation.

With a motivation to expand Ralph Lauren’s depiction and portrayal of the American dream, the program is aiming to broaden their general perspective and create more diverse and all-encompassing collections—all while forming lasting relationships with people whom their clothes are inspired by and rooted in.

The collection is available now on RalphLauren.com, with additional drops set to be released in 2024.
