Louis Vuitton adds a second chapter to the “New Formal” menswear collection for Fall/Winter 2024 with an emphasis on timeless businesswear, modern tailoring, and elevated evening staples.
The collection has options for the evenings: slim suits cut in noble fabrics with single-breasted jackets and fitted cigarette trousers come in shades of black, navy, and white. In homage to the Louis Vuitton heritage, the Damier motif introduced by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams elegantly appears on formal occasion wear and footwear. The motif is complemented by a wavy pattern or pinstripes cut on the bias. Paired naturally with refined Oxford shirts with beveled collars and cuffs or a double-faced, reversible bomber in a split gray monogram and black, the “New Formal” collection becomes a redefinition of formal wear.
In a nod to the style introduced back in June 2023 on the Louis Vuitton runway, the Voltaire modern fashion derby in glazed calf leather with a gradient Damier finish is paired with accessories like the functionally sleek LV Aerogram Pilot Briefcase. Sorbonne loafers, Varenne classic leather Chelsea boots, and Richelieus appear in shades of tobacco and black. Complementary accessories, such as the ergonomic Fastline Messenger in black LV Aerogram, tonal neckties, and leather-handled key fobs complete the “New Formal” look.
The second installment of the menswear collection includes essential tailored outerwear like an elegant blouson in soft navy suede leather, a beige peacoat with a shearling collar, and a versatile three-in-one mid-season parka. The finishing touches of the collection come in iconic bag styles– the Keepall travel bag, the Aerogram Lock It tote, and the new Georges statement tote in Millésime grained leather.
