During Fashion Week here in New York City, Givenchy *finally* announced its appointment of its new creative director: Sarah Burton!
Effective immediately, the famed designer who previously was the Creative Director of Alexander McQueen following Lee McQueen’s passing back in 2010, will now oversee all of the house’s women’s and men’s collections, with her first show set to take place in March of 2025.
“It is a great honour to be joining the beautiful house of Givenchy, it is a jewel. I am so excited to be able to write the next chapter in the story of this iconic house and to bring to Givenchy my own vision, sensibility and beliefs.”
