For the third time in their respective histories (they just can’t quit each other, how charming), the two brands join forces to release a limited-edition capsule collection of 15 embroidered pieces drawing from the artisanal prowess of Lemarié and Lacoste’s contemporary creativity.

The collection, comprising of over 12 ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, features the iconic Lacoste Crocodile adorned with petal embroidery and carries the brand’s perennial color palette: Lacoste’s iconic green, lily white, and ebony black. The Crocodile, reimagined under the rococo style of Maison Lemarié, is entirely hand-embroidered for the collection, and Lemarié’s floral artistry shines through in the gilded Croc’s newest rendition. 

In addition to a set of sweatshirts, a sweater, a cardigan and a set of polos, the range also features an adorable embroidered cap and a down jacket and track pants that fashionably fuse Lacoste’s dyeing techniques with Lemarié’s tactful know-how. The pleated skirt, however, remains the line’s striking standout. Each delicate pleat is decorated with the brand’s signature logo, creating a pop-art style staple inherently tied to Lacoste. 

Maison Lemarié, responsible for the Crocodile’s ornate reinterpretation, functions as a symbol of artisanal preservation. Stretching back to 1880, the Maison has upheld a rare and precise form of masterful expertise, one built on the Maison’s savoir-faire of haute fashion and meticulous pleating and embroidery practices. For the collaboration, Lemarié lends their signature floral craftsmanship to each piece’s embroidered embellishment.   

As for the design, tailoring and production, Lacoste oversees it all, carefully crafting each piece so that the trademark Lacoste blend of sports and fashion remains intact. Bridging together two distinct visions, the “Lacoste Embroidery Collection” synthesizes the liberated feel of Lacoste’s fabrics with the deep-rooted traditions of Maison Lemarié’s intricate floral embroidery.
