For Prada’s Spring/Summer 2025 Campaign, Carey Mulligan reinvents herself into different personas through dramatic wigs and looks. In the campaign, titled “Acts like Prada,” the photographer Steven Meisel captures Mulligan’s ability to transform through fashion, thus creating a visual story that goes beyond traditional photographic portraiture. The legendary photographer brings to life unique personas, each with their own energy and allure.

“Acts like Prada” explores the notion of identity and the complexities each human being embodies. It redefines and reinvents the boundaries of personal expression. Carey Mulligan plays the role of different women for Prada, but rather than just performances, these are the embodiment of lives across the world. Prada showcases all the realities a human being can channel, with fashion as the medium of choice to express individuality. This philosophy mirrors both the multifaceted nature of the individual and the undeniable constant change of humans as a species.

Through the campaign’s visual narratives, Mulligan embodies Prada’s philosophy of unpredictability and refusing to be confined to a sole narrative. This transformation reflects the power clothes have in someone’s perception and Prada’s dedication to crafting garments that allow women to portray the change they desire. One aspect all these elements have in common? Prada, fashion, and the self are never static and thus shall change together.
