Tyler, The Creator is once again rewriting the sneaker playbook. His latest collaboration with Converse marks the launch of the 1908 Program, a curated capsule that breathes new life into the brand’s vast archive. Named for Converse’s founding year, the collection revisits and reworks two retro silhouettes—the Naut-1 and the Coach Jogger—each handpicked and reimagined through Tyler’s ever-inventive lens.

Sneaker culture has come a long way since Converse’s founding in 1908, a brand that’s been laced into the DNA of fashion, sport, music, and culture for over a century. While both silhouettes from the collection come from Converse’s archives and create an equal footprint on sneaker culture, their juxtaposed styles embody the range of the brand and Tyler’s curation and personal style.

The Naut-1 reinvents the classic boat shoe, injecting nautical flair with Tyler’s signature preppy-meets-playful aesthetic. It’s the ultimate deck shoe for land and sea, where function meets flair in the most advanced iteration of the silhouette to date. Meanwhile, the Coach Jogger channels vintage athleticism, pulling from the low-profile runners that defined the 1970s and ’80s.

While the silhouettes differ in spirit—one more refined, the other more performance-driven—they both reflect a shared ethos: a commitment to creativity, experimentation, and fearlessness. This is where Converse thrives. And with Tyler leading the charge, the 1908 Program signals a new era of archival revival.
The Naut-1 and Coach Jogger will be released in a limited global drop on June 20.
