Donatella Versace’s tenure has officially come to a close. Back in March, after a show-stopping Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Donatella announced that she would be stepping down from her position at her namesake brand. This week marks the release of her final campaign featuring her last designs with the brand.

Shot by the photography duo Mert & Marcus, the campaign gathers iconic supermodels and modern models who have embodied Versace. The images reunite some of the original Versace girls—Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Kristen McMenamy, and Natasha Poly. The original girls helped shape the brand’s legacy in the 90s. Joining them are newer faces like Anok Yai and Mica Argañaraz, connecting the brand’s roots to its future.

The campaign showcases looks from Donatella’s final collection for Autumn/Winter 2025. The designs feature signature Versace codes: duvet-like gowns with the house’s Medusa emblem and chainmail mini dresses. There was lots of leopard, used in two-piece sets and as jacket lining. The collection all and all is Versace.

When Donatella’s departure was announced, it was confirmed she would transition into an ambassadorial role. Dario Vitale, formerly at Miu Miu, was appointed creative director and will be responsible for steering the house forward. This is a significant change, being that only Gianni and Donatella (both namesakes) have led the brand.

The final campaign showcases the brand’s heritage as much as transformation. Through familiar faces and house codes, the collection looks back at decades of influence while also hinting at the possibilities ahead. As Donatella steps aside, the campaign stands as a testament to her impact on Versace and the world.
