At the Théâtre de Châtelet this week, London-based designer Robert Wun staged his return to Paris Couture Week with Becoming, a Fall-Winter 2025 collection that examined the ritual of dressing as a transformative act. In true Wun fashion, the looks were adorned with crystals.
In partnership with Swarovski, the brand’s signature artisanal touch was applied to the couture looks, creating the masterpieces we have come to love. We at V Magazine got an exclusive look at the making of some of these looks.

Blue was a standout, with crystal beading ebbing and flowing throughout. The clusters of crystals versus singular ones create movement in an already flowy garment. From the back, the headpiece is reminiscent of early Alexander McQueen collections, with the same twisted elegance.

Wun’s use of crystals is expert. It never feels sewn on—it looks as if it’s part of the fabric. The black crystals against the white fabric create a pattern, and, being hand-beaded, a one-of-a-kind print.

Of course there was red, it’s one of Wun’s signatures. This look is really what couture is about. From afar, it might just seem like red sequined fabric, but each crystal was meticulously hand-placed and hand-sewn. It’s the making that makes it couture, not just the final look.
Together, these pieces highlight the power of collaboration between two forces of craft: Swarovski’s dazzling precision and Wun’s bold, imaginative vision. The result is a series of couture looks that feel at once otherworldly and deeply considered. Proof that even in the world of high fashion, magic lies in the details.
