Christian Louboutin Expands Nudes Collection with Ballet-Inspired Capsule

Dropping the pointed pump for a pointe slipper!

Christian Louboutin redefines the concept of “nude” once again with the release of its new limited-edition Nudes Capsule, available in stores starting July 9th. Centered around the Cassia Lace Up, the capsule extends the Maison’s decade-long commitment to inclusivity, offering five satin shades designed to melt into a range of skin tones.

Since its birth in 2013, the Nudes collection has set its sights on challenging the traditional, yet narrow definition of “nude” in fashion. Christian Louboutin’s belief that nude is not a color but a concept has guided the evolution of this line, enriching its range from five to eight tones and championing diversity in form and identity.

The Cassia Lace Up draws inspiration from the graceful world of ballet. With its square toe reminiscent of a pointe slipper and sexy curved stiletto heel. The 100mm single-sole pump combines motifs of gentility and audaciousness. Crafted from soft crepe satin and tied with tonal ribbons at the ankle, it echoes the intimate ritual of a ballerina preparing to perform.

Cassia Lace Up, despite its beautiful silhouette, is not only a pretty face, but a shoe that addresses a long-standing absence in the world of dance and fashion alike, where pale pink was once the standard. Now, Louboutin offers a full spectrum. Designed to disappear into the skin and elevate anyone wearing it, the collection is a powerful blend of inclusivity, artistry, and couture.
