This era is infiltrated by the drop of a Spring/Summer 2025 footwear collection that breathes new life into a historic basketball icon. The SS25 release centers on Chavarria’s reimaginings of the adidas Jabbar sneaker, first created in 1978 for the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The collection celebrates Kareem’s enduring legacy with two distinct silhouettes: the Chavarria Jabbar Low and the Chavarria Jabbar Dress Low. Both designs marry athletic heritage with Chavarria’s signature minimalism, restructuring sportswear for this new era.

The Jabbar Low in Black/White features refined suede detailing on the heel and a structured rubber toe, elevated by premium accents like a molded leather sockliner, gold-foiled Trefoil heel, and debossed “Kareem” and “Willy” lettering, each shoe bearing one name as a tribute to legacy.

The Jabbar Dress Low arrives in Off-White/Dark Marine, nodding to vintage men’s dress shoes and creepers. Distressed vintage leather, a suede pointed toe, contrast brown stitching, and aged outsoles give the silhouette a rugged aura. A debossed white Trefoil heel and gold-foiled “Kareem” and “Willy” complete the design narrative.
