Ralph Lauren Releases Trailer for Upcoming Animated Film

Ralph Lauren has ventured into short filmmaking
Today, Ralph Lauren has launched the trailer for their upcoming short film, The Polo Bear Chronicles: Operation Black Tie.
Featuring the signature Polo Bear, the trailer opens in his Manhattan townhouse revealing the bear’s morning routine—French press and newspaper in tow. Throughout the film’s trailer, the signature RL bear is accompanied by no shortage of New York-based elements including the Empire State building and a “streetwise” pigeon. The trailer features lifestyle references reflective of the Americana-based brand as the bear traverses a polo match, beach house and black-tie gala. And like the range found within the brand, we watch the leading character move from cardigan to formalwear.

The plot of the film will center around an action-filled mission surrounding fine art. According to the trailer, the bear has “a taste for the finer things,” and he is “about to pull off the most refined art recovery of the century.” With his pigeon sidekick, “they’ll outwit security and socialites alike” on their mission.

The animated short film will premiere on August 14 and will be viewable on Ralph Lauren’s YouTube channel. It is produced by Ralph Lauren Animation Studios, and it will be six minutes in length.
