Gentle Monster has launched their fall 2025 eyewear collection and released a film to accompany its debut. “THE HUNT” is the eyewear brand’s short film starring Hunter Schafer and directed by Nadia Lee Cohen. Filmed in Los Angeles, the film’s opening evokes the nostalgia associated with a bygone era through its setting in a midcentury modern home and featuring the sounds of 1930s jazz. The romanticism and calm quickly dissolve into a cinematic style associated with classic horror films. Schaefer is filmed being chased leading to a climactic getaway scene by the film’s end.

In the film, Schaefer can be seen in a lightweight frame that is introduced in Gentle Monster’s 2025 fall collection and continues the brand’s minimalist design approach.  Slim frames, minute details and an assortment of metallic colorways define the new season. The collection premiered in the US on November 6. This release takes place one day before its global launch and marks a new approach for the eyewear brand.

In addition to Cohen’s film, an interactive game accompanies the launch and allows for an immersive experience. Outside of this campaign with Schafer and Cohen, the eyewear brand is known for its notable design partnerships for its collections including past collaborations with Maison Margiela, Mugler and Moncler.
