Swarovski is set to stage a landmark exhibition titled ‘Masters of Light—Hollywood’ to celebrate the Austrian brand’s 130th year anniversary. The exhibition opens to the public today at the iconic Los Angeles landmark Amoeba Music. Envisioned by Swarovski’s Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and curated by British fashion journalist and critic Alexander Fury, the exhibition celebrates the heritage brand’s rich relationship with the world of Hollywood, from fashion and design to music, film, and pop culture.

The exhibition will display crystallized costumes from movies and music performances, as well as fashion pieces and emblems of pop culture.
A stand out from the exhibition, the gown worn by actress Marilyn Monroe when she sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to US president John F. Kennedy will be on display, with it’s 2,500 Swarovski crystals shining brightly for viewers to admire.

A showcase of crystal figurines, including Disney and Marvel characters, symbolizes modern pop culture and the impact of animation in Hollywood.
Dedicated to iconic American performers, the Pop Icons chamber presents outfits worn by Beyoncé, Madonna, Tina Turner, Lady Gaga, and more legendary names in music.

As Swarovski and Hollywood share an ethos of creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural influence, this exhibition honors performance, stage presence, and emotional connection while celebrating the revolutionary influence of one of Europe’s oldest luxury houses.

Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard says, “We are delighted to bring the Masters of Light exhibition to Los Angeles as part of our 130 Years of Joy anniversary celebration. As the global epicenter of the music and film industry, this is the ideal setting to honor our intimate connection to Hollywood and our role in its most iconic moments. Swarovski continues to be a key protagonist in pop culture through the sparkle of our various activities and are proud to celebrate our legacy through this.”
