The House of Mugler has unveiled a new digital series starring avant-garde performance artist David Hoyle, continuing the brand’s long-standing dialogue with theatricality, camp, and transformation. Launched from Paris, the short-form series centers Hoyle as both host and provocateur, offering an irreverent lens on Mugler’s visual language and cultural legacy.

The episodes explore the architectural codes and bold silhouettes of Creative Director Miguel Castro Freitas’ first designs for the house, titled The Wardrobe of Identities SS26 Pre-Collection. Through sharp commentary and high-concept storytelling, Hoyle guides viewers through what Mugler calls the iconoclastic heart of the brand, emphasizing fashion as performance and self-expression.

“With this series, we wanted to shine a light on the camp, iconoclastic heart of Mugler,” Castro Freitas said, citing Hoyle’s wit, disruptive spirit, and glamour as a natural match for the house. He added that the project is rooted in celebrating community and joy.

Each episode centers on a different theme of how to wear Mugler, maintaining a tone that is daring, subversive, and unapologetic. Hoyle described the collaboration as a space where fashion meets philosophy, humor intersects with political provocation, and the body becomes a site of transformation.

The Wardrobe of Identities SS26 Pre-Collection is now available on mugler.com and in selected boutiques worldwide.
