Leaf’s NYFW Diary: life of a cool girl
Follow the native New Yorker on her week of shows, parties, and exceptional fashion

Growing up in Brooklyn, Leaf’s love for New York is the real thing. The city runs through her music and her style. She first broke out with a deal at Fool’s Gold Records and early modeling work for Calvin Klein, carving out space in both fashion and rap on her own terms. On Instagram, she folds it all together: new music, real-time connection with her audience, and outfits that feel instinctive rather than styled within an inch of their life. Fashion Week only amplifies that spirit—the shows, the chaos, the parties, the feeling that everyone’s building something at once. Leaf let us follow along from front rows to after-hours and everywhere in between.
Day 1
“The first day of Fashion Week always starts with a bang as everyone is gathering themselves for the week ahead. My morning started promptly with a 10am Contessa Mills presentation.”

“The event was beautifully constructed with a chiffon entrance that brought you into the world of Contessa. Each piece was detailed with pearl buttons which Contessa expressed to me tied in her inspiration of the ocean.”

Day 2

“Tabbe Designs, Area, Afters”

“Tabbe’s tea party featured a gorgeous skyline overlooking midtown and a cute modern rococo twist with 1960s inspiration.”

“After I attended the Area Show, which had amazing silhouettes and bold choices that stunned me.”

“I ran into one of my favorites Gabriel Held, an amazing stylist who I pulled from for my last two music videos ‘Sponsor’ and ‘Trust Fund$’.”

“After I attended a few after events with my friend Gio From Da Block – love connecting with other creators”
Day 3

“Private Policy was a beautiful display of culture and innovation. The entrance started with lo mein and wooden chopsticks as you’re brought to your seat.”

“Kim Shui’s pieces are a particular favorite of mine, being a New York girly. There’s something about her collection that felt meant for the Ritz Nomad, Portrait Bar, Pearl Box and so many of my favorite hang outs in the city.”

“It was also great to see so many gorgeous people in one room.”
Day 4

“My day was dedicated to Menelyk… which felt like a gothic pirate ship.”

“My night ended with the cherry on top at Reve Eveille”

“The star of the show was definitely Dominique Jackson being live spray painted in one of the designs.”
Xoxo, Leaf
