DC-642 Sneaker Touches Down in Milan

Dsquared2 launched their newest sneaker design with a celebratory cocktail party in Milan
The DC-642 sneaker is a defining design from Dsquared2, rooted in motion and instinct. Sketched while en route, it was conceived in transit—born from a state of constant movement. Built with speed in mind, the silhouette emphasizes lightness and precision. Its design draws on the language of aviation, fused with the attitude of streetwear.

It marks a step forward in the vision of Dsquared2, with the brand’s identity further shaped by twin founders Dean Caten and Dan Caten. “DC” nods to their names, “64” to their birth year, and “2” to their twin dynamic. The design is personal—an extension of their identity, both as namesake and as creative direction.

It’s part retro, part athletic—defined by sharp color blocking while remaining minimal. The women’s version leans more daring, with leopard print, iridescent inserts, and denim details. The sneaker captures the pace of Dsquared2: fast, innovative, and fearless.
In the midst of Milan Design Week, Dsquared2 unveiled the DC-642. The release was marked with an exclusive gathering of friends, clients, and A-listers. Creative directors Dean Caten and Dan Caten were in attendance, celebrating the new design. Held at the brand’s flagship store, the urban space filled with a charged, anticipatory energy.
