Master Of Disguise Alexis Stone Transforms Into The Late Joan Rivers For M.A.C. Cosmetics

The makeup artist arrived at the M.A.C. store in SoHo to honor the Viva Glam initiative

Dressed in pink and furs, the late Joan Rivers was revived for an exclusive appearance at the SoHo M.A.C store on April 21st. Rivers (aka makeup artist Alexis Stone) arrived accompanied by high security, courtesy of the M.A.C. Police Beauty Unit in a decked-out stretch limo.

The appearance was orchestrated in honor of M.A.C.’s iconic VIVA GLAM initiative, which was celebrated last week with the Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Award at the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation New York Dinner. For years, M.A.C. has demonstrated a commitment to the HIV/AIDS community, which was a cause Joan Rivers championed throughout her life as well.

Press and fans were invited to the event to see the celebrity, and Stone took numerous photos as she ran through the streets of SoHo in character as Rivers. Infamously remembered for her time on the talk show Fashion Police, Stone even had ranger-inspired accoutrements and a silver Fashion Police badge in true Joan Rivers fashion.
