The 2026 Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run Concludes in Luxurious Fashion

The trophy of the four-day mountain rally was unveiled in a bespoke trunk crafted by the French fashion house
In European travel, few items carry the symbolic weight of a trunk. It is, all at once, both a functional tool and a signal of elevated movement, an item rich with high-class codes. Leaning into this symbolic weight, Louis Vuitton unveiled the would-be winner’s trophy of the Dolomites Classic Run rally in a one-of-one monogram trunk.
The trunk, sporting all the protective lozines and brass corners of traditional Louis Vuitton luggage, bore a distinct red “V” on its front panel. For the fashion house, this “V” represents decades of luxury goods under the label’s name, “Vuitton.” But for the race winner, Gianandrea Redaelli, this “V” stood for “Victory.”

Louis Vuitton has a storied relationship with sporting events. From the FIFA World Cup and Ballon d’Or to Olympic Medals and the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco trophy, Louis Vuitton trunks have travelled the globe for countless events. But perhaps for Louis Vuitton, motorsports possess a special resonance, for the purpose of the trunk itself plays a role.
The Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run culminated as any vintage automobile race would: a gala at Castello Sforzesco in Milan. At the gala, winners were presented with their honors, and the Trophy was presented to Redaelli, whose 1939 Aston Martin C-type speed roadster had aided him in winning the competition’s highest prize.
