Fall in “Love” With McDowell Spring/Summer 2027

Welcome the brand’s fifth ready-to-wear collection since 2025

Nostalgia has been having a moment. Looking to the past has increasingly become part of fashion’s vision for the future. At London Fashion Week, Patrick McDowell debuted a new collection, “Love,” drawing inspiration from the glamour of 1960s American socialites. Dressed in shades of green, fluid silks, and sleek fabrics that flatter the female form, McDowell’s women evoke the polished elegance of a bygone era.

“My boyfriend’s favourite film is In the Mood for Love,” said McDowell. “It felt like a perfect starting point for this collection, set in the early 1960s, a time when fashion was evolving, with many heroes of the day like Balenciaga, Dior and Givenchy exploring fashion with fresh eyes, researching incredible socialites from America like Lee Radziwill and, of course, her sister Jackie,” McDowell elaborates. “At a time where politics was becoming more liberal and fashion was reacting to that, perhaps this is my wish for today, that somehow we will find love and acceptance again.”

McDowell’s ready-to-wear business is gaining momentum, with the brand expanding its presence across the US, Asia and London. “Love” marks McDowell’s fifth ready-to-wear collection since launching the line in September 2025.
“It’s been so special to see the brand grow organically over the last year, getting to know the stores who have supported us and our wonderful clients,” McDowell said. “As a designer there is no better feeling than being part of special moments for the people wearing your clothes.”

Throughout Spring/Summer 2027, craftsmanship, attention to detail and tailoring serve as the foundation of every piece. McDowell also embraces collaboration and the idea of making the old new again, partnering with Pandora and Aspinal of London to accessorize the collection. Timeless, specially crafted jewelry and handbags adorn McDowell’s looks, extending the collection’s dialogue between past and present.

Beyond the collection itself, McDowell places an emphasis on authenticity and traceability. Through an ongoing partnership with Certilogo, each Patrick McDowell product is connected to a secure digital identity through a Digital Product Passport, allowing clients to authenticate their pieces while fostering a lasting relationship between the brand and its customers.

To help ensure that a passion for fashion endures across generations, twenty-five children joined the show’s front row through Place2Be and The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, founded by HRH The Princess of Wales.
