Mickey Mouse has been omnipresent in culture for nearly a century. Alongside Minnie, Donald, Goofy and the rest of the gang, he has helped make Disney one of the world’s defining cultural producers. Now, Mickey & Friends are stepping into the fashion world with Golden Goose, which has released a capsule that applies the iconic characters to the brand’s signature designs, including a Super-Star sneaker reimagined in vintage-inspired grey suede with a white leather star.

From footwear and ready-to-wear to patches, pins, charms and embellished lace sets, the partnership is all-encompassing. Through Golden Goose’s signature Co-Creation program, customers can further personalize select pieces with screen-printed Disney graphics, giving each one a touch of one-of-one splendor. The collaboration also heads in-store with a global Co-Creation tour, where Disney artists will personalize pieces and create live illustrations for guests, while Golden Goose’s Dream Makers, the brand’s expert artisans, host Disney-inspired workshops in stores around the world.

Perhaps the brand’s most signature piece, the Super-Star sneaker, appears in gray suede in the collection. Naturally, it sports small but detailed prints of the Clubhouse characters. Much of the ensemble leans into a vintage feel, highlighting the characters’ enduring appeal. Playing on this idea, distressed T-shirts are washed with lighter tones over fuller colors, conveying the feel of an aged garment. The collection is completed with an array of accessories. Pins, charms, and patches, all decorated with Disney codes and characters, round out the ensemble. And of course, no Disney collection would be complete without the obligatory Mickey ear hat.
